Girls we love / MOMS is a story about the most mysterious and amazing time in the life of a woman: a story about love, passion, struggle, cuddles and hugs. We are so pleased to chat with some of our dearest friends and people we admire: women we want to take care with the simple gesture of a dress that follows and fits their evolving body and inner soul during the revolutionary period of pregnancy. Feminine at her most, a woman feels her body grows and adapts to a new life, while her mind is a spring of happiness, panic, doubts and pure love. Feeling good with yourself is crucial: being comfortable and comforted without renouncing to look good is vital.

TELL US ABOUT YOU

Here I am, Federica, 34years. Plenty of white hair and a body shifting in the shape of a mother, for the second time in my life. Mother of Giovanni (and the furry puppies who love to couch on my feet) and expecting Frida, coming the next Autumn. I’m a sociologist, and after I closed my degree in drawer, I followed my dream becoming a professional photographer for children, moms and families.

WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION

Inspiration is a matter of empathy itself. something that grows in between your bellybutton and your stomach, then you get it and boom, it’s done, its’ yours. I’m passionate and sensitive, I do follow mainly my instinct and  too occasionally, my brain.
I got my energy from my family, from my love, Max, which is my rational half. From the colours of the houses, from the nature that surround us. From people. 
I do observe a lot, and listen, maybe this i s my secret.

WHAT IS YOUR DAY-TO-DAY GO OUTFIT?

My keywords are colours and comfort.
I have a crush for overalls and stripes.
My favorite outfit isn’t finished without “bandanas” or hair bands.

BEST THING ABOUT BEING A MUM

I can say a lot, but two things are the most important: the first is love. I think children are like branches, different from us, the trunk, still, having a child is like multiplying yourself, your heart, your love, for two.
The second one is that you can be completely yourself with them. Anytime, anywhere, anyhow. You can go back to 5 years old, jump on the bed, and laugh out loud and fall breathless. You can be yourself, no obligations, non constrictions, no rules for being an adult in an adult world.


WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST OF SARTORIA VICO?

Oh, the colors, the geometries, the materials, every details. The labels as well, shall I continue?

HOW DO YOU FEEL WEARING SARTORIA VICO WHILE EXPECTING?

I feel comfortable.
I fell at ease.
I fell good.
And that’s worthless, especially during a pregnancy.
