What do you do?
I am an artist and producer with a past in the art conservation business.
When and how did you start?
I’m Spanish, I was born in a beautiful seaside town, Tarragona. I’ve always had an itch for adventure so as soon as turned 18 I moved to Barcelona to study Art, then Palermo, Rome, London and now Milan. I worked for many years as an art conservator in different studios and in exhibition productions. Nowadays I concentrate more on my own artistic projects whilst carrying on with the event production side of things. Right now I have just finished working with Gohar World for their Fuori Salone space at Alcova, it’s been so much fun and a dream come true as I am such a fan of the brand since forever.

I can be extremely silly.

An actress.
Favorite time of the day.
Just before sunset.
A city you lived in and stole your heart.
London is in my heart forever.
How important are colors in your life?
Very much! In the art I make and the clothes I wear, everything is based on color. Without colors I would feel very sad.
Colors you love or hate?
I love yellow, red, orange... right now I'm obsessed with one shade of rust red and I could leave the house dressed in this shade from head to toe. I don't hate any color, they are all beautiful if combined in the right way. But I can't wear black!
What's the last new thing you did?
I printed some of my designs on t-shirts! I've always loved fashion but because it had never happened to me to combine this passion of mine with my works and render them wearable.
Your super power?
Making people laugh.
Biggest challenge so far.
I am torn between answering becoming a freelance or becoming a mum.
What inspires you?
Traveling, always. New places, new smells, new colours, new foods! It always makes me dream and see the world from a different perspective, which is refreshing and inspiring.
What keeps you going through hard times?
Family, friends and...good food! The prospect of a bad dinner puts me in a really awful mood.
Also, as someone who lived in the UK for a long time, I must say that a good cup of tea can fix things in a second. Last but not least, music has saved me and helped me go through the most desperate times.
Best lesson learnt.
Mmmm... my dad used to tell me not to worry in advance about stuff (I am such a worrier!), and not to worry at all about stuff that doesn’t have a solution. Easier said than done, but he lives by it and he’s a healthy and happy man! I used to find it impossible but with the years passing by I’m trying to embrace his philosophy more and more.
Next project.
After a while being obsessed with Japanese watercolours, I am now experimenting with vinyl colours and wax pastels on wood, and I’m loving it.
About clothing... what comes first?
Comfort and color combinations. Also good quality is very very important! I try to steer away from synthetic fabrics and mass produced cheap garments as much as possible…
How do you choose clothes in the morning?
Completely randomly. One of my best friends (who always dresses beautifully!) carefully prepares the next day's outfit every evening. I envy her so much because I just can’t do it. In fact, sometimes I dress very well and sometimes... very badly!
The story behind your fav piece of clothing?
I have this great pink Snoopy bandana from when I was a child, I wear it all the time and also does my son. Now it’s starting to fall apart, it’s fraying and has a couple of holes...I am very worried as it’s irreplaceable! If anyone finds a pink Snoopy bandana please let me know...
Your safe uniform.
Mmmmm.....white t-shirt, SV sweater and favorite jeans! Boots in winter and sandals in the summertime.

COSA FAI?
Sono un'artista e producer con un passato nel settore della conservazione dell’arte.
QUANDO E COME HAI INIZIATO?
Sono spagnola, sono nata in una bellissima cittadina di mare, Tarragona. Ho sempre avuto desiderio di avventura così appena compiuti 18 anni mi sono trasferita a Barcellona per studiare Arte, poi a Palermo, Roma, Londra e ora Milano. Ho lavorato per molti anni come conservatrice d’arte in diversi studi e in produzioni di mostre. Oggi mi concentro maggiormente sui miei progetti artistici mentre porto avanti il lato della produzione di eventi. In questo momento ho appena finito di lavorare con Gohar World per il loro spazio FuoriSalone ad Alcova, è stato molto divertente e un sogno diventato realtà, essendo da sempre fan del brand.

QUAL È LA CITTÀ IN CUI HAI VISSUTO CHE TI HA RUBATO IL CUORE?
Londra è nel mio cuore per sempre.
QUANTO CONTANO I COLORI NELLA TUA VITA?
Tanto! Nell’arte che faccio e nei vestiti che indosso, tutto è basato sul colore. Senza i colori mi sentirei tristissima.
COLORI CHE AMI O CHE ODI?
Amo il giallo, il rosso, l’arancione... per adesso sono ossessionata con una tonalità di rosso ruggine e potrei uscire di casa vestita in questa tonalità dalla testa ai piedi. Non odio nessun colore, sono tutti belli se abbinati nel modo giusto. Ma non riesco ad indossare il nero!
QUAL È L’ULTIMA COSA NUOVA CHE HAI FATTO?
Ho stampato dei miei disegni su delle magliette! Ho sempre amato la moda ma non so perché non mi era mai capitato di abbinare questa mia passione ai miei lavori e renderli indossabili.
IL TUO SUPERPOTERE?
Far ridere le persone.
LA SFIDA PIÙ GRANDE FINORA.
Sono indecisa se rispondere diventare freelance o diventare mamma.
COSA TI ISPIRA?
Viaggiare, sempre. Nuovi posti, nuovi odori, nuovi colori, nuovi cibi! Ogni volta mi fa sognare e vedere il mondo da una prospettiva diversa, dandomi aria e stimoli nuovi.
COSA TI FA SUPERARE I MOMENTI DIFFICILI?
Famiglia, amici e...buon cibo! La prospettiva di una brutta cena mi mette davvero di cattivo umore. Inoltre, avendo vissuto a lungo nel Regno Unito, devo dire che una buona tazza di tè riesce a sistemare le cose in un secondo. Ultimo ma non meno importante, la musica mi ha salvato e mi ha aiutato a superare i momenti più disperati.
LA MIGLIORE LEZIONE IMPARATA
Mmmm... mio padre mi diceva sempre di non preoccuparmi in anticipo delle cose (sono una persona molto apprensiva!) e di non preoccuparsi affatto di cose che non hanno una soluzione. Più facile a dirsi che a farsi, ma lui vive così ed è un uomo sano e felice! Prima lo trovavo impossibile ma col passare degli anni cerco di abbracciare sempre di più la sua filosofia.
PROSSIMO PROGETTO
Dopo essere stata ossessionata per un po’ dagli acquerelli giapponesi, ora sto sperimentando colori vinilici e pastelli a cera su legno, e lo adoro.
PER QUANTO RIGUARDA L’ABBIGLIAMENTO... COSA VIENE PRIMA?
La comodità e le combinazioni colore. Anche la buona qualità è molto importante! Provo a stare il più lontano possibile da tessuti sintetici e indumenti economici prodotti in serie…
COME SCEGLI GLI ABITI AL MATTINO?
Completamente a caso. Una delle mie migliori amiche (che si veste sempre benissimo!) prepara ogni sera con cura l’outfit del giorno dopo. La invidio tanto perché io ne sono incapace. Infatti a volte mi vesto molto bene ed a volte... molto male!
LA STORIA DIETRO IL TUO CAPO DI ABBIGLIAMENTO PREFERITO?
Ho questa fantastica bandana rosa di Snoopy di quando ero bambina, la indosso sempre e lo fa anche mio figlio. Adesso comincia a sfaldarsi, si sta sfilacciando e ha un paio di buchi... sono molto preoccupata perché è insostituibile! Se qualcuno sa dove trovare una bandana rosa di Snoopy, per favore me lo faccia sapere…
