My name is Anna, 42 years old, born and breed in Milan, freelance art director.
I like: travelling with Gio, my partner (the last 2 years have been quite rough) / chat with Gio / look around (I have a passion for researching in every field) / finding hidden gems / having lunch, alone, in company of a good book / hanging around in thrift shops / a dinner with friends / drawing with my son Tito / the movies / rainbows / ice cream / help Tito grows / growing together, with Gio / my memories
I hate: being late / being limited in my freedom / having too much spare time / losing time / hold a grudge / waste in every form / disorder
What do you like the most about your job?
The research phase, above all. Losing myself in explorations, enrich my wisdom exploring different references, worlds and cultures. Summarise and translate all the inputs collected in a new original concept for a branding, interior, styling or whatsoever project. I love challenges, even if I am scared every time I collect a brief for a new project.

Last thing you have done for the first time?
Beautiful question.
Living with Tito is a great example of learning new things every single day. Lately I’m learning to feed patience and listening, instead of giving voice to my instinct first.
Which is the best thing about parenting? And the worst?
Daily life is the toughest and most beautiful at the same time.
Being unceasingly put to the test, looking for a balance you can break in a fraction of time. Reschedule every day your own priorities, trying to grow a decent, peaceful and thoughtful human being.
What relationship do you have with nature?
I would say controversial. I feel attracted, fascinated, thrilled (in a positive way). I love walking in the wild, explore, breathe, feel every smells and fill up my eyes. Still, I fear nature, feeling so small in front of such greatness.
How do you choose what to buy and what to wear?
Since some years ago - I must confess - I did not care too much for quality. I lived the coming and growing of the fast fashion phenomenon and suffer from its fascination filling my wardrobe of rubbish. Now, thanks God, I’ve developed a critical sense and a deep discomfort toward waste, I’m becoming more and more careful. It’s an ethical and qualitative choice.
Do you have a favorite uniform?
Actually, no. I love to feel “good”, always looking for my own style, that I still haven’t found. And maybe I’m not obliged to find…
Do you have any amulet/dress hidden in your closet?
A shirt that Gio gave to me as a present many years ago. So worn that I finally tear it, but I can’t throw away. I will mend it one day and give it a new life.
Describe Sartoria Vico in a few words
Sartoria vico is comfortable, yet sexy; fashionable, yet timeless. SV is passion for details, for reaserh, a desire to give life to never ending products. And the best is that you can feel all of this in every stitch of their dresses.
What's your favorite piece from the ones you choose?
How to choose? I would say the Body, the Pleated Skirt, the Culotte Trousers… and then all the rest…

COSA AMI DI PIÙ DEL TUO LAVORO?
La fase di ricerca che anticipa tutto è la parte che preferisco. Prendermi il tempo per esplorare, arricchire la mia conoscenza esplorando diversi ambiti culturali.
Condensare poi il tutto e tradurre gli stimoli in un nuovo concept, che sia di branding, interior o styling... Amo le sfide, anche se me la faccio sotto tutte le volte che mi propongono un progetto nuovo.

L’ULTIMA COSA NUOVA CHE HAI IMPARATO?
Domanda bellissima.
Direi che Tito rappresenta un ottimo esempio di cose nuove imparate tutti i giorni. Potrei dire che ultimamente sto imparando a coltivare la pazienza e l’ascolto, anziché dare voce all’istinto come ho sempre fatto.
QUAL È LA COSA PIÙ BELLA DELL’ESSERE GENITORE? E LA PIÙ DIFFICILE?
La sfida quotidiana è la parte difficile e bella allo stesso tempo.
L’essere costantemente messi alla prova, alla ricerca di quell’equilibrio che basta un attimo per romperlo.
Il ri-centrare ogni giorno le proprie priorità, nell’ottica di crescere un individuo sereno e consapevole.
CHE RAPPORTO HAI CON LA NATURA?
Lo definirei controverso. Da un lato mi attira, mi affascina, addirittura mi turba (in senso buono). Amo camminare nella natura, esplorarla e respirare a fondo, sentire tutti gli odori e riempirmi gli occhi. Dall’altro la temo, mi sento piccola di fronte alla sua grandezza.
COME SCEGLI I CAPI DA ACQUISTARE/INDOSSARE?
Fino a qualche anno fa - confesso - non badavo molto alla qualità, ho vissuto l’avvento del fast fashion e ne ho subìto (come tanti) il fascino… così facendo ho riempito l’armadio di ciarpame. Da qualche anno (grazie al cielo) ho sviluppato un senso critico e un’enorme malessere allo spreco, in tutti i campi, e anche nella moda ora scelgo con molta più attenzione. Ne faccio una questione etica da un lato e qualitativa dall’altro.
HAI UNA “DIVISA” PREFERITA?
In verità no. Mi piace sempre sentirmi “bene”, sono sempre alla ricerca di uno mio “stile”, che non penso di avere ancora trovato, ma forse non devo neanche trovarlo in fondo…
HAI UN CAPO - AMULETO CUSTODITO NEL TUO ARMADIO?
Una camicia che mi ha regalato Gio tanti anni fa. Usata talmente tanto che infine si è strappata, ma non riesco a buttarla via e prima o poi la rammenderò dandole una nuova vita.
DESCRIVI SARTORIA VICO IN POCHE PAROLE
Un pezzo di Sartoria Vico è confortevole, ma è anche sexy; è alla moda, ma anche senza tempo; Sartoria Vico è amore per la cura, passione per la ricerca, desiderio di dar vita a prodotti senza fine. E il bello di Sartoria Vico è che tutto questo si percepisce in ogni filo dei loro capi.
